Truth is, I've been doing it all my life, in one way or another.
I started with drawing when I was a kid. I was enamored with the idea of being a great comic writer\artist in the vein of 80's era Marvel. I loved the X-Men stories from this period. It's what I wanted to do.
In junior high, I had a fascination with World War II, war comics, Sgt. Rock, Nick Fury, etc. I drew some over the top battle scenes. A soldier on top of a hill pock-marked and littered with barbed wire, firing his .30 cal, and a ridiculous amount of spent cartridges nearly burying him.
